The Frankenmuth Lions Club funds its operating budget through several income generating projects throughout the year.

These projects begin in April with the annual White Cane project where club members staff designated locations in the business district soliciting monetary donations from the public.  Operating from the Lion Haus building in Heritage Park, the club offers bratwurst and chicken dinners during the annual June Bavarian Festival and a pancake breakfast during the July Volkslaufe.  September begins with a busy weekend food concession during the annual Country Street Machines AutoFest in Heritage Park followed door-to-door sales through the community as part of the annual Light Bulb & Broom Sale during the month of October.  The year concludes with the annual Salvation Army "Red Kettle" project in the foyer of the Frankenmuth Kroger Store.  Lions trademark gumballs and mints are sold year-round at local retail business establishments in the community.

Financial support exceeding $15,000.00 during a typical fiscal year [July-June] will be distributed to various organizations and programs, some of which are listed below:

One of the many days that the Lions worked at the Lion Haus this summer was on June 27, 2009 for the Nodrog Gordon Setter Club.  Even though the attendance was small the people participating in the show appreciated the food that the Lions served them.

The Lions Club is very fortunate to have Jeff Trudell not only as our new president but also the one who spearheads all activities at the Lion Haus including purchasing of the food served as well as maintaining the building.  Currently he is in the process of installing new doors and locks on the building.  Many thanks for all the time and talent you spend there, Jeff.
